Our Community Home

Our community home provides transitional housing for Deaf young women ages 16–24, and serves as a welcoming space for Deaf Detroiters to gather, celebrate culture, and build community.

The first of its kind in the region, our transitional community home offers Deaf women and girls ages 16–24 more than just a safe place to live—it’s a space for growth, learning, and connection. Residents receive life skills training, academic support, interpreter services, and advocacy for themselves and their families. Beyond housing, the home serves as a vibrant hub offering accessible events, essential resources, and a place where Deaf women and girls can thrive.

Our Journey: A Labor of Love

Creating Detroit’s first-ever community care home for Deaf women and girls has been a journey—a true labor of love.

From vision to reality, we’re proud to have created a space where Deaf women and girls experience true inclusion, connection, and community. Many thanks to all who helped bring this vision to life.
