Educational

Detroit Public Schools Community District (Deaf/ Hard of Hearing Programs)

There programs include Pre-Kindergarten-12th grade categorical and outreach students. Our catchment areas are Highland Park, Harper Woods, Hamtramck and Grosse Pointe. Approved PSA's are serviced as well. Currently, we have the only Total Communication Program for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within Wayne County. 

The Holley Institute's Carls Family Village

Located on 214-acres of quiet lakefront woodland, Carls Family Village (affiliated with The Holley Institute), is a non-profit established to serve those with hearing loss, vision loss or deafness.

The Holley Family Village, Inc (aka Carls Family Village) has been conducting programs for families with Hard of hearing, Deaf and DeafBlind , both educational and recreational since 1996.

Deaf Community Advocacy Network

Deaf Community Advocacy Network – DEAF C.A.N.! is a non-profit Organization established in 1981 to provide services to the thousands of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people living in our area. DEAF C.A.N.! offers direct client services to individuals and families, as well as community education and information for professional groups.

Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) serves children, youth and some adults with special health care needs and supports their families.
